I think you outdid yourself in arranging our cruise down the river from Seville to Cadiz and back and our 3 day excursion in Barcelona. Almost everything was planned for – taxis where needed, cruise down the Guadalquivir river to the Atlantic and back and our flights to both Madrid with transfers to Seville for the Croisi Europe boat and our travel and great accommodations in Barcelona. However even you could not anticipate the taxi strike in Barcelona. However that just made for experiences in travel we would not have been exposed to and that added to our trip.
The river cruise gave us exposure to ancient times and changes created by religions and people in power from Cordoba, Granada, Sevilla and Cadiz. Ship food and entertainment was great as were the staff but the greatest experience is always the people you meet.. The Barcelona experience was just as great but completely different The hotel was not only super but its location was central to every thing we wanted to do walk and explore, shop. find trendy eating places, Hop on/off bus and just walk around. to enjoy the city.
